	Calgary is a great city. You will find a lot of advantages here. You will visit really beautiful places. You will meet very nice people. But there are some norms and rules you should deal with. For example, you have to set appointments with almost every counselor in every office. Do you know that immigration officer would be available to meet with you only couple weeks after you call for an appointment? Do you know that you can get the job just after you obtain your Social Insurance Number? Do you know that this process takes at least four weeks? Do you know how to choose school for your kids? By the way, if you are planning to take ESL course, you should know that quality of teaching is very different in ESL schools. Really good schools are very busy. Do you know that serious businesses require serious knowledge in English? To insure you qualification you have to pass TOEFL test. If you would like to take TOEFL course, it takes approximately 6 months of full time studying and costs some money. But you can just pay for a test, pass it and save your time.

	What do you know about the medical service in Calgary? What do you know about job services? What do you know about education programs? What do you know about real estates and rent of apartment? What do you know about buying a car, getting driver license and insurance? What do you know about taxes and payments back from the government? Do you know how to buy furniture, electronics, household items and food for cheaper price?

	All those are just top line questions that will arise in front of you during the first month of being a landed immigrant. Each one of them will take plenty of time. Time is money.
